Effective Microorganisms

Abbreviation: EM—a mixture of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms, primarily lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and photosynthetic bacteria. Used for soil revitalization.

Effective Microorganisms, or EM for short, are a mixture of various aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms. They are mostly derived from the food industry. The main microorganisms used are lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and photosynthetic bacteria—often more than 80 different species.

In agriculture, they are used to revitalize the soil and restore the soil microflora, for example, to promote root health.

B+H Solutions' colloidal fertilizers—including those containing silver and copper—can be used in combination with EM, but should not be stored for more than a few hours.
