Colloidal Fertilizers

Colloids are tiny particles ranging in size from 1 to 1,000 nanometers, finely dispersed in a liquid. Colloidal fertilizers are absorbed directly through the leaves and roots and supplement the existing fertilization regimen.

Colloids are tiny particles ranging in size from 1 to 1,000 nanometers (nm). They are finely dispersed in a liquid—usually highly purified water—and are more or less suspended in it.

High-quality colloids, such as those found in B+H Solutions’ fertilizers, are modified using stabilizers from the food or cosmetics industry so that the particles remain suspended longer and more effectively. Formulations in which only nanoparticles—that is, particles smaller than 100 nm—are suspended are also referred to as colloidal.

Colloidal fertilizers are absorbed directly through the leaves and roots and supplement the existing fertilization regimen.
